100 Days of Motion Script: "Outline"
I went back into After Effects for this one, using trim paths and a glimmer of a reflection during the pause.
Whenever I'm stuck on a project, I occasionally reach out to Mathijs from my Mograph Mentor course for questions. This time, I asked if trim paths could work on a closed path or if it only worked with open paths? Apparently you can apply them with both :)
Garner also gave me the wonderful idea to stagger them only by a few keyframes. Originially they were about 15 or so frames apart, and when I put each trim path within two frames, it changed the whole vibe.
